Perroche
Perroche
Perroche is a wonderful, young goat's cheese, gently rolled in either tarragon, rosemary or dill. Our youngest son's very favourite cheese and a lunch staple in our house, on toast, a few cherry tomato slices over, it's delicious, (although dexter will yomp it down in 2 bites in true teenager fashion)!
Fresh and young with gentle goatiness and a lovely lactic tang, they only have 10 day's date on when they come in to us, so do bear this in mind, it may not be the best cheese if you want longevity, they do very well for potentially a week after the best before though - I take any that have gone out of date home an pop them in the freezer for the kids! Perroche are made with pasteurised goat's cheese and animal rennet, as they are very young, they would not be suitable for a lactose intolerance.
