Monkland with Garlic and Chives cheese is a raw milk cheese made at the local dairy. The garlic and chives which are added before the cheese is pressed give it a real fresh flavour. Brine bathed and matured for 4 - 8 weeks, it's a great handmade artisan cheese.
Made with unpasteurised milk and animal rennet. The do vary a fair bit in size but luckily we have a great relationship with our most local dairy and if you would like a Monkland G &C to go on a wedding stack, we'll make sure we get pick of the bunch in terms of sizing to fit! They are roughly 17cm by 9 cm minimum and their lovely shape comes from the collanders used to make them but I've certainly seen them be twice as high as that! If you order a whole and it's wildly different from the size shown in the prices, we'll let you know and sort out the difference.
