Beenleigh Blue is a crumbly textured, steely blue flavour sheeps milk cheese from Totnes. Made with surplus pasteurised ewe's milk in the spring and early summer, Robin and his team at Ticklemore Cheese make up as much Beenleigh Blue as they can and then store some at a colder temperature to mature later and supply us cheese shops all year round, the nature of the cheese varies a lot as the year progresses. The first cheeses for sale in June are very light, fresh, and quite crumbly whereas the older cheeses develop significantly greater depth of flavour and become richer and creamier.
Please note, these sometimes run out around February, so if you're planning an order for a wedding, please give us plenty of notice (a month or more is good!).
Beenleigh Blue Dimensions: 20cm in diameter, 15cm tall, weighs 4kg. We can cut a whole in half to give you a 7.5cm high circle, 2kg.
